Anissa Douglass is the founder and creative director of Public Prep. Having grown up with lavish Christmases, she brings a lifelong love of gifting and an elegant, considerate touch to her work.

That personal passion has carried into her professional life. In Los Angeles, she oversaw gift bag assembly for entertainment guild events. A memorable highlight came during her service as a political appointee, when she accepted a gift from union leaders on the President’s behalf.

Anissa brings 15 years of experience in writing, directing, creative direction, and strategic communications across media, technology, government, and public-facing work. She is also the founder of Anissa Studio, a Washington, DC–based creative consulting and animation studio. She holds a BA in Psychology from Spelman College and an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
